Today is Mother’s Day and after a hectic week, Daddy forgot. He had a diaper party for you yesterday and his mind was focused on that. Not only did I have the party, but I also had a long 7 day work week. Yesterday Morning, after waking up and drinking my morning coffee, I was having some vision problems and possibly some anxiety or flu like symptoms. I don’t know why, but I was. I went to work and after an hour I had to come home because I was feeling terrible. On the morning of the diaper party, the host was falling apart.
You mother stepped up, while 8 months pregnant. She was truly amazing! She made multiple pasta/potato salads, skewered all the kebabs (roughly 80), all while Dad was in bed trying to sleep off a possible flu. Mommy was working so hard for my party and I couldn’t lift a finger. I felt so bad, but she was a soldier. She worked so hard yesterday, and I love her so much for it. She is such a great person. You are getting the best Mom in the world. I have never seen someone care so much about others and work so hard to make others feel so loved and feel so special. Mom is truly amazing person and she is going to love you more than anyone else in the world ever could. One of my friends last night said many times how amazing Mommy is, and all I could do was sit there and smile. Mommy was a gift to me from God, and I am eternally grateful to Him to give me such an amazing partner in life.
Today is Mother’s Day, and although you are still inside Mommy’s tummy, you are alive and kicking. Today your Mommy joins the rest of the Mother’s out there in being honored and cherished for the amazing people that they are. Next year the two of us will do something to really thank Mommy, let the brainstorming begin.
Your Daddy loves you and can’t wait to meet you.
