For Elijah’s 4 month shoot I had to be patient while waiting for good weather. I am, of course, taking his pictures inside our apartment but there isn’t much natural light in our home so it’s a little challenging. As you can see from the different outfits, I had to try a couple of times. Eli was teething and a bit moody this past week, so I had that to contend with that too. He did very well though and I finally managed to catch some decent light which lit up those gorgeous blue eyes of his!
For the pictures you see below, in the zebra outfit and the striped hat, he was in a playful mood but lighting was poor so I only got a couple of ones I like. He sat in his Bumpo chair for some and then stood at the headboard of our bed for the others. I hid behind the headboard, holding his one hand, to take pictures. With him getting stronger, I can get a bit more creative. Unfortunately, poor lighting meant we had to try again another day.
Love That Face!
A few mornings later, I opened the curtains and the lighting was just perfect. I love these photos so much because they pretty much sum up my mornings with Elijah. He rolls around, laughs, rubs his face on the blanket then looks up at me playfully, “talks” to me, sings, and looks at me sweetly with those beautiful big eyes. This is, most certainly, my favourite part of the day. My perfect morning begins like this: I wake up to say goodbye to my love. When Justin has left for work, I go and make coffee and then return to the bedroom. Next I feed Elijah. Before he is even done, he has already started to play around with me. He does the funniest things with his hands while he feeds, like he’s twirling his fingers on my skin, I wish I could read his mind while he does this! Usually he can’t finish his morning feed because he is smiling and then giggling so much. It is truly the cutest start to any day I have ever experienced… and everyday it gets cuter and cuter. With assistance, he is able to sit and stand now, so there is so much more interaction between us. I love this stage, and I absolutely love our mornings together!
