I can’t believe that this is the 6th shoot I have done with Elijah. In a way they have gotten easier each time, but as he grows they also become more challenging. I used to be able to put him on a small bench covered with a blanket, but these days he tries to roll off. Taking pictures is now only half the job, the other is making sure he doesn’t knock something over, or land up on the floor. He kicks the backdrop, rubs he face on the blanket, gums on whatever he can reach, and rolls into a ball so that he can touch his toes (his favourite thing to do). Without any assistance, I can’t say how many more of these photo shoot I will manage, but I’ve made to to month five despite being super busy, so I’m very happy with that. I haven’t given up yet though! I am excited to do pictures of him when he is able to sit up. It’s getting tough to be creative since there aren’t many positions to do before a baby can hold themselves up. On the other hand, sitting and crawling will bring a whole new list of challenges. I was quite happy when he fell asleep during our shoot today. It gave me time to slow down and enjoy it. As you can see, I got some pretty cute sleeping shots.
I apologise in advance for the number of photos in this post.
I tried my best to sort through them, but even the slightest change in facial expression causes me to melt, so I had a tough enough time getting down to the ones you see here. Justin wasn’t much help either, we both kept saying “aww” to every single picture.
