Today I am 9 MONTHS PREGNANT! Of course, that is nine lunar months (not calendar months) pregnant, but nevertheless, I am still considered 9 months pregnant. In a week from now Elijah will be considered full-term and that means that he could make his entrance into the world at any point after that. My little bun is almost completely ready. We will see how long he decides to stay inside mommy after that… he might just need some time to fatten up, or he’s just enjoying the comfy little home he has in there. At 36 weeks his living conditions are probably quite cramped though, so who knows when he will decide that he wants to make an appearance and have more room to stretch that long body of his.
Look out for our week 36 Bumpdate sometime tomorrow. Out of habit, we take our weekly pictures every Wednesday morning even though that is the start of a new week of pregnancy. We have been taking pictures since week 4, so that’s a total of 32 bumpdates so far (including this week). If you want to see those pictures side by side for a comparison… have a look at this link: Bumpdates. From this week we will be visiting the hospital for weekly check ups which I am not too thrilled about, but it has to be done. After tomorrow’s ultrasound I hope to be able to tell you that baby is in head-down position, and that that his umbilical cord is no longer wrapped around his neck. Both of those things would make this mommy very happy!
Thank you for following all of our updates.
