On Sunday morning, Justin and I headed into town, to get some coffee and play Bananagrams.
We really love this game, and we play it everywhere!! Haha, thanks Sue! Shawn stayed at home to sleep, but we were feeling right as rain so we decided to get out and enjoy the day. It was a very rainy day so the best bet for us was to find a coffee shop, get some drinks and snacks, and then sit down and play a few games.
Bananagrams and Frappaccino (Espresso for me, Berry for Justin)
Bread with cheese and butter sauce melted over it. Tasty!!
These types of baked goodies are very popular in South Korea. We always spot couples, or groupd of friends, buying them to share while they enjoy a cup of coffee. It baffles our brains how everyone remains skinny here even though they eat delicious things like this. We thought that we should try one of them out since – It had been so long and we still didn’t know what they were like.
Our verdict – DELICIOUS!!
Bananagrams @Caffe Benne
We relaxed at Caffé Bene while it completely stormed outside. The rain was very heavy, and it was so nice sitting there, chilling with my boo. The weather made our little “date” rather romantic!
I LOST!!! One letter…
Once Shawn awoke, we went for some traditional Korean lunch.
Shawn didn’t feel as enthusiastic as us…
Sunday evening (Monday was a public holiday), we headed back into town, to the good old GS25.
This time we played some UNO as well.
One of our favourite past-times
It was a hot sweaty night, so sitting outside in the cool breeze was a great idea. We knew that soon we would have to leave Daejeon, so we made the most of this quality time with Shawn.
The bus back to Seoul took about 2 hours. Luckily, Korean buses are very clean and comfortable.
There is plenty of leg room, and the seats recline.
A ticket from Daejeon to Seoul only costs about $10.
On the way back to Seoul… Justin and his Triangle Kimbap.
Me and my coffee
This was a long weekend with Shawn.
We will miss Daejeon, and all our good friends there, while we are in China.
Hopefully we will be back for a visit in the future!!!
