A Monochrome Superhero Party
While planning our trip to South Africa, I was particularly excited to be home for THREE very special birthdays. Of course, our main reason for going home was my father’s 60th birthday. I was, however, thrilled that we could also be there for two other birthdays. Both of these birthdays belongs to the children of two of my closest friends. One was turning three, and the other thirteen! Tarrin, one of my besties in high school, threw the most amazing monochrome superhero shower for her son’s third birthday. I took a few pictures of Camden when he was seven months old – check those pictures out HERE.
It was just crazy to have only seen Camden when he was a tiny 7 months old, and suddenly we were at his THIRD birthday! Our Eli was born a month earlier than Camden, and on the very same day. Tarrin and I were therefore pregnant at that same time. Even though we were on opposite sides of the world, I am glad that we got to experience that special time “together”.
That Amazing Talent
Tarrin has the most incredible eye for design and decoration. I simply LOVE what she puts together. The girl has some SERIOUS TALENT! She threw my Hen Party, and I remember feeling so blessed to have her in my life. Those amazing superhero cupcakes were made by Tarrin and her mom. Clearly these talents are in the genes!
Tarrin and I joke that if (when) I move home, we will open our own events company. Together we will design, create and ENJOY! I can’t imagine doing this with anyone else. In fact, the thought of doing this with Tarrin makes me want to move back to Cape Town…. ASAP!
Anyway, enough about the future, here are some pictures from Camden’s monochrome superhero party…
hehehe… The face masks were a little tight, but that didn’t stop Eli was wearing his! In fact, even though the other kids took their capes off within an hour or two, Eli’s was on until he went to bed that evening!
A wonderful party, thrown by a VERY talented mommy! It was such a blessing to be home for Camden’s birthday this year. I don’t know when we will have this opportunity again, but HOPEFULLY, someday, Tarrin and I will be planning, create and organizing events like this together. A girl can dream, right?
