Baby Girl Shower│Book and Frame
It has been a while since I did a craft post! With so many travel posts that I want to cover, there isn’t much time to do posts on the “little things”. Today, we take a short break from the travel posts and look at a Baby Shower Memory Book and Frame that I made for a friend.
I threw a baby shower for Claire back in September. It is sort of random how we became friends – but definitely one of the reasons that I LOVE expat life. Claire posted a message on the Qingdao Mama Yahoo group, I responded, we chatted, we met…. next thing I know I’m throwing her a baby shower, and comforting her as she goes in labor and then gives birth to her first child. What a blessing it is to be able to experience life abroad. Friendships here should be fleeting, and yet the people who come into our lives leave such an immeasurable mark!
The elephant template can be downloaded HERE.
Here is the little scrapbook and “guestbook” that I put together for Claire after the baby shower…
*And keep in mind that China has ALMOST ZERO scrapbook materials, so this was all made from scratch*
Whenever I make a scrapbook, I love to use actual paper and wrapping from the event that I am remembering. On the cover I put a photograph of one of the cupcakes (made with love by my husband – I know, he’s a gem!), and onto the photo I glued an actual cupcake topper. On the second page (image two in collage above), I used the mini-bunting that I made from the cake topper as the rays of sunshine.
