Running on Boracay Island is great because the island is small and long, making it easy to reach both of the most popular beaches within a matter of minutes. We were staying on the Bulabog Beach side of the island (located at the top of the island in the image below) so that was were I ran first.
At 6am Bulabog Beach was covered in fishing, speed and crab boats. While I ran along the beach, the locals started to appear, getting their boats ready for the day. Many of them were solely for tourist use and would not be taken out for a couple more hours, so things were quiet and peaceful. This side of the island is beautiful but completely different compared to White Beach (located at the bottom of the island in the image above). It is similar in that it is lined with palm trees, but the water is not as clear and the sand nowhere near as white. There are, however, far less people around during the day, so this beach offers a private spot to get away from all the tourists and the noise.
I ran a long way down Bulabog Beach, but since this was the side of the island that saw sunrise, I got far too hot and decided to make my way over the island to run along White Beach.
