Yup… that’s pretty much Elijah’s facial expression when he is someplace new. Sometimes he even has that expression when he’s in a familiar place, but around new people. At home, he loudly sings elaborate long babble stories and giggles at everything we do. But when we are out, he often has this blank look, and only starts smiling when he settles in and starts to have fun or feel relaxed. Until then, it’s “poker face” all the way!
Justin had the very tasty steak, potatoes. roasted peppers, egg, and sour cream with fajita wraps. We like the cheap mini cans of coffee from the Korean convenience nearby, so we bought a couple of those before we got to Canvas. Admittedly, we probably just like them because they remind us of our years in South Korea! My mom had the omelette filled with fried rice, and a salad on the side. I’m a sucker for breakfast food, so I went for the “Big Breakfast” which consisted of eggs, bacon, beans, french fries, mini beef patties, fried tomato slices and toast. It was a pretty decent very large portion, but I completely devoured it! Shameless!
