Bruno Cafe, Qingdao. Last week, on our Monday with Mari, we happened to stumble upon a cute cafe as we were leaving Zhanshan Temple. As you walk out of the southern gate, follow Donghai 1st Road. The cafe was about a block and a half from the temple entrance. It was cool and modern inside, with shaded seating outside too. We settled here for some coffee and croissants. Since he had slept for most of the time that we were in the Tv Tower and Zhanshan Temple, Elijah got to stretch his legs here. I ended up taking a whole bunch of photos of him sitting and laying on the couches in this cafe. It turns out that this was one day before his 23rd month birthday, and the pictures are so sweet! I haven’t been doing monthly updates – only quarterly ones – since Elijah turned one, but since these pictures turned out so cute I have decided to throw in a quick 23 month photo shoot post. I will have that published later today! You’ll have to wait until next month to get a full “Eli update” when he turns TWO!
Besides coffee, cakes and various biscuits, they seemed to also be selling an assortment of gluten free mini loaves. They were all wrapped up in paper, so we couldn’t tell for sure what they looked like, but they ingredients showed no flour. The ingredients for the one you see above were: Belgium Import Cocoa butter with a content of 45% pure chocolate, walnut powder, sugar, butter and eggs.
On the menu… Some delicious sounding treats: Tiramisu, Brownie, and Expresso Cheesecake.
These shoes are slip-ons, and Elijah is used to his velcro trainers… he therefore often stops to look down at these when he walks. Perhaps they feel very different to the others!
