Road Trip Downtime
On our family road trip from Texas to South Dakota, there was a lot of time to sit back and relax. While driving through the mid-West there was not too much to look at so we kept ourselves busy with puzzles, reading, card games, and snacks. Great snacks! Sue makes amazing Caramel Corn! Whenever Bryan got out of the car, Dodge would sit in in the drivers seat and wait for him. I imagine this looked quite amusing from the outside of the RV.
Coffee and Sudoku. Me. Sorted!
The dogs had no problem napping
Above Left, Hmmm… Pringles and Homemade Garlic Goup.
Sue tried to nap in the back bedroom,
Unfortunately, this was the bumpiest area of the RV!
On one of my trips to the restroom, I popped my head into Sue’s room to see what she was doing. I found her sitting on the bed trying to play a card game. Solitare, I think. The cards were bouncing around everywhere. She was trying to hold cards in her hand, others down with her free elbow, and the rest in place with her foot. It was hilarious! To say that our RV was a slightly bumpy ride would be a major understatement. I don’t know who had the last laugh though because I almost bounced right off the toilet! Very amusing!!
Our next stop…
