Can We Stay Forever?│It feels like ages since we did a post on our time on Bali! And although it is kind of sad that these posts are now coming to an end, it is time for a new selection of posts – Europe, of course! I am sure that there will, however, be a few more informative posts from Bali in the future. So here it goes… some pictures from our last couple of relaxing moments on the gorgeous island of Bali.
Downtime was spent relaxing by the pool, strolling around the beautiful garden with Eli, playing card games, drinking ice cold Bintang beers, and enjoying delicious Balinese food. As our time on Bali started to near it’s end, we began to wish that we could stay there FOREVER! One of the families that we met there were living at this villa and they told us about how they moved to Bali, and based themselves there. We were, of course, very intrigued!
Above, Nasi Goring, one of the many favorite meals that we loved in Bali.
Nasi Goreng is Indonesia’s fried rice, one of the nation’s most notable dishes. Nasi Goreng is pre-steamed rice stir-fried with a combination of meats and vegetables, ranging from scrambled eggs, diced beef, strips of chicken, shrimp, anchovies, lamb, crab, green peas, onions, shallots and a blend of sweet soy sauce or kecap manis and hot chili sauce.
Above, MANY MANY MANY Balinese Coffees we consumed in the making of this vacation!
Check out our post on that here: Bali Coffee.
When we opened our bag to pack, and get ready to leave, Eli climbed into the suitcase and started to UNPACK!
On our last day in Bali we checked out of our hotel early (we had a late night flightso we paid for an extra night) and spontaneously went on a tour with a private driver. We ended up at a restaurant in Puta – chowing down on a delicious seafood platter!
Bali was such an incredible getaway for us! We loved this place so much, and we wished that we never had to leave!
