Carving with the Kids│Last week I did a few nights of pumpkin carving with my students. In fact, two of them didn’t get to do this so I still have a couple more pumpkins to do. They get so excited for these activities, and anticipate Halloween for weeks. Anything not to actually study, right? We all had a great time! Justin comes home early on a Friday so he was here for one of the carving sessions.
The pumpkins in China are not very big. We tried to source out the biggest ones that we could, but in the end it didn’t really matter. The kids carve very simple designs, and the small the pumpkin, the easier it is for them to hold onto the pumpkin. We looked at a few design options, and then I let them decide what they wanted to do.
Lots of fun!
I can’t stand phone pictures. In fact, I might just choose my next phone based on this single feature. The quality of these iPhone pictures is just terrible. Oh well! I took these pictures mainly to share with the parents, but after deciding to load them into a blog post – well, I wished I had used my camera instead!
