The class was made up for a group of Russian tourists/ students, myself (the only English speaker) and a Chinese professor. I was surprised that almost all of the Russian students were completely fluent in Mandarin, and most of them even had Chinese names. Initially I thought that I was not going to stick out like a sore thumb – as I usually do – however I soon realised that I definitely was the odd one out in the room.
Translation: “A Life of Peace”
I was quite happy with my final artwork, and I am excited to get some brushes and begin painting when we move into our own apartment. Being creative always makes me feel good. We will need to decorate our walls, so I will have plenty of painting projects to keep me busy for a couple of months!
