Below our living room window is a marble counter, and underneath that counter is an open area containing some heating vents. To prevent Elijah opening up our air-purifier, we placed that behind the bars which provide support for the marble counter. Elijah has figured out the most hilarious ways of getting into this space, and because he likes playing in really confined areas, he will take all kinds of toys and kitchen items into there with him. He then sits in there for ages! I know that he is in there when I hear him banging on the metal bars with various toys or spoons. Another favorite of his is to empty our winter basket in the lounge. It contains hats, gloves and earmuffs. As you can see above, this week he took to wearing the one pair of earmuffs like Robocop glasses.
It was quite amusing to walk into the living room and see Elijah sitting on the heating vents, both hands on the air-purifier, with daddy’s earmuffs over his eyes. He was playing with the buttons on the air-purifier, so he didn’t look up for a couple of minutes. Just enough time for me to run and get my camera. I don’t know if it is me, but he looks like a little DJ.
When he heard me taking pictures of him, he pulled the earmuffs down to take a peek.
It wasn’t long before he pulled the earmuffs back over his eyes, and looked back down to “keep playing”.
