Easter 2017: Resurrection Day
Every year our Easter celebrations seem to be quite different from the year before. This year that remained true. We gathered – family and friends – to join in fellowship, read The Word, sing worship songs, share a big potluck meal, and then take part in some fun Easter activities. Crossword puzzles, egg decoration, and a whole lot of sugar! Look at these amazing Easter-inspired desserts made by some friends. Above, “He is Risen” cake, and below, Carrot cake cookies. Hmmm….
Evidently I did an awful job of taking pictures. When I got home, I realized that there were plenty of food pictures but barely ANY OF PEOPLE! This is often a problem for me – I think it is because I am actually too shy to ask people if they mind me taking a picture of them. You know, the part where you say, “Hey! Say Cheese!” Yeah. That part is sort of unnerving for me. And wait for it… I’M A PHOTOGRAPHER!! This probably surprises many since most people think I am “bubbly”, but trust me, I am actually an introvert. I get home from events and wish that I had taken more pictures of people. It’s a real problem for me people!
In my defense, I did do a lot of video that day – so I will give myself some grace, and blame my lack of (people) pictures on the fact that it is tough to juggle taking pictures, AND doing video.
Anyway, here are some pictures from Easter 2017: Resurrection Day:
