Eli 23 Months: Photo Shoot. We haven’t been doing monthly updates since Elijah turned one, instead we have been doing quarterly updates. These are a lot harder to do because time just flies by and it is hard to write down everything that has changed over the space of three months. In the first year, things happen fast, but during the second year, the changes are a little more gradual. Thankfully, I am still loving our Baby Connect App, and I use it whenever I can to record any changes or milestones that Elijah makes. If I didn’t, I would never remember when they happened. On the day before Elijah turned 23 months, we found ourselves out and about with Mariska, on another Monday with Mari. We went up the Tv Tower, then to Zhanshan Temple and finally to Bruno Melody House for some coffee and croissants. While we were at our final stop, Elijah lay on a couch stretching and rolling about. The lighting wasn’t perfect, but it was decent, and he looked oh-so adorable in his denim shirt, blue sail shorts, and orange slip-on shoes. We bought these shoes for him when he was only 7 months old, in South Africa (R20 at a Mr.Price sale… Bargain-hunters I tell you!). When we got home and I saw these pictures from our “Impromptu photo shoot” at the Bruno cafe, I knew that I HAD TO do a blog post. These are too cute not to share!
Here is sweet Elijah James at 23 months old…
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”
~ Psalm 139:13-16
