Sleeping: This was a fantastic month for sleeping! Eli is going to bed at 7pm every night and he wakes up around 6/6:30 in the morning. He is cheerful when he gets up, and after that he just plays in his crib until daddy goes to get him. Justin brings him to our room and he squeals with delight when he sees mommy. He then dives into me and makes his hilarious “eh eh eh eh” sound which means, “I want milk NOW”.

(I wish he wouldn’t put his mouth on there, but I knew he would so thankfully I had cleaned it already)
He is definitely realising boundaries, i.e, he will no longer dart to the end of the bed/ couch and potentially fly off the edge. He crawls to the edge and then steadies himself and stops. This is great news for us, because even though we still keep an eye on him, it is now much safer to walk away from him while he is watching tv on the couch. He will crawl to the end and lean on the arm, but he won’t propel himself off (which he used to do).
He has been falling way less this month, but he also hasn’t been trying to walk that much. He is happy just sitting or standing next to furniture. Most of the time, he takes a toy and then crawls with it in his hand (or mouth) and goes to wherever he wants to be. He seems to have figured out that crawling is way faster than waking along furniture, so that is his preferred mode of transport.
Daddy and Mommy: We have been going to bed early and feeling much better than we did last month. This was a good month all round. We went on a couple dates, got a out and about a lot, and really enjoyed our quality time as a family this month.

blue monster Emirates toy (he carries it everywhere – adorable!!), sitting on edge of the couch and watching movies; being thrown into the pillows on our bed after bath-time, bath-time shouting/ singing, being tickled, bananas, standing behind daddy and rubbing his back (daddy loves this too), standing up next to his high chair and pulling on the straps, sticking his fingers in peoples mouths (so random and weird), going to the beach, playing with the bucket, spade, water and sand, pulling on the big plant in our dining room.
