In a recent post, I promised to share some pictures of the fairy craft that I made from my friend’s Fairy Themed Nursery. Her daughter was born on Earth day, so it is quite fitting that her room will be decorated with a Fairy theme. I made some wall decorations for her while I was on vacation in South Africa earlier this year. I really love this theme for a baby girl, it is so sweet! Check out this blog post for some amazing ideas for a Fairy birthday party. If we have a little girl one day, I would love to decorate her room with woodland fairy decor.
On the day that I decided to paint these, the temperature in Cape Town reached the highest that it has in many years! In fact, it was record breaking for this time of the year. Justin and I stayed indoors with Elijah and refreshed on Hunters. Hubby made me a delicious lunch and I worked away for a few hours. Priming, painting, and then adding glitter to the fairy and butterfly wings.
Hmmm… Now that’s a good lunch! Crackers with cream cheese, cucumber, and smoke chicken. We sure do miss these lunch foods while we are living in China! Sure, we could probably find all of these ingredients, but it would be challenging and expensive. Only the cucumber would be available at an ordinary grocery store. Oh the simple things that we miss!!
Eli wanted to be sure that Baby Shannon knew that he loved her, so he kissed her name letters, and covered them in drool. We hope it won’t be too many years before we meet this little fairy.
