The First Week Back
It has been just over a week since we got back from our Australia-New Zealand trip, and boy oh boy, have we been BUSY! I don’t think that we have ever hit the ground running quite so smoothly as we did this month! Despite the full day of travel on Sunday, we were back at work last Monday, and since then we haven’t stopped moving since then.
I’m already straight back into the photo shoots and my usual work (plus some more). The Christmas decorations were still up when we landed, and the house needed a good clean, so the last week has felt quite a bit crazier than I would have liked. And to top it all off, I am starting a half day job from today. To be honest, I am slightly nervous about it (which I usually am when I start anything new), but I will only be taking on this extra commitment on until the summer. I have therefore locked onto a particular goal, i.e. paying off a student loan, and I am really excited about this opportunity.
Where are the blog posts?
If you are wondering where all of the blog posts about Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and life in general, are… don’t worry, they ARE COMING. I am aching to blog my way through all of it, but right now I am finding it hard to find the time to sit down and get on with it. We have been waking up to exercise at 5am. That means we are in bed by 9pm. Between editing photoshoots, taking on extra work, and starting a new exercise routine, I just haven’t had much time to blog. For all intensive purposes, I feel like I am a full-time working mom because I literally sit down at 6pm for dinner and realize I haven’t sat down in hours.
On the plus side, I do feel the days quietening down, and I know that I will find more time soon enough.
A little more patience, and I promise you’ll be reading about all of our recent adventures soon!
