What’s this guy doing?
Looks like he is catching fish, despite the sign clearing saying “Don’t Fishing”
Seems like he has already caught a couple of them.
I guess if you don’t have a fishing rod, then you are not really fishing?
As his son throws bits of bread into the water, the father bends down and scoops fish up with a plastic bag. Either the fish are pretty slow or he is fast. Damn, I would have fallen in! This is the “pond” in our complex, and I am sure that it is stocked because there appear to be some beautiful large Koi fish in it. It looks like this is where some of the locals come to get their pet goldfish… Or dinner. Who knows!?
Heather’s fish, Porto, died last week.
Perhaps we should go to the pond and scoop up another fish for her!
Drying the laundry
Some of you might remember our pictures from Dongying of people’s laundry hanging absolutely anywhere. Although we live in a much nicer city, and a pretty wealthy apartment complex, the same is allowed here. Considering how nice our complex is, you would think that there would be rules against this. It would definitely be a big no-no back home. However, over here it is completely normal to hang your laundry wherever you want outside…
Even from tree to tree, and on random fences.
Really – Anywhere you can find a spot!!
Over here some rules just don’t matter!
Then again, why are we even surprised!
This IS China after all!
Have a great Saturday Evening everyone!!!
