Floral Garden│Zhongshan Park. It has been a while since we ventured out for an exciting Monday with Mari, but believe it or not, I still have a few pictures I have not yet shared. These pictures of beautiful white blossoms, and lush green pathways, come from the Floral Garden in Zhongshan Park. We enjoyed pushing the stroller along these paths, and admiring the trees bursting with blossoms. My favorite were the ones that you see above – they looked like they were grown especially for a wedding! The entire tree was filled with massive bunches of white. Breathtaking!
Little man wanted to run through the flower beds – yes, that’s what toddlers love to do – so we didn’t stay in the Floral Garden for too long. Mariska chased Elijah over the steep grassy embankments while I took a few photos. There are tons of small garden areas to explore in Zhongshan Park, but we stuck mostly to the main walkways. I look forward to returning here with Justin and Eli for a picnic during the Autumn months. Things have really heated up around here, and soon enough this park will be PACKED with Chinese tourists. Qingdao is a summer HOT SPOT!
Nearby the floral garden, some more of my favorite flowers from that day in Zhongshan Park..
Unfortunately, we had to cancel another weekly Monday with Mari this week. That sadly leaves us with ONLY ONE more week to get together before this family of three leaves for the rest of the summer. Hopefully we can squeeze one more adventure in, and perhaps a whole lot more during the Fall when Qingdao’s leaves change to the most splendid shades of red, yellow and orange.
