|We are excited!|
It has been an entire week since Elijah and I last saw Justin. We said goodbye to him last Sunday afternoon, and then did the long journey from Qingdao to Hong Kong, then Johannesburg and finally Cape Town. How did it go traveling alone with a 7 month old baby – well, you can read about that here: 4 Airports, 4 Flights, 1 Baby. Since then we have spent a lot of quality time with family, met up with some friends, and enjoyed the wonderful weather.
It has been good to be back in South Africa, but it is about to get even better! To say that I am excited about seeing my husband tomorrow would be a huge understatement. I am beyond thrilled that this is our last evening apart. The thought that he gets closer and closer to me with every minute that passes, makes me so unbelievably happy. I can’t wait to be in his arms. I have missed him so much. Thankfully, we have both had our hands full for the last 7 days, so this separation has not been too awful but we have still not felt quite right without our better halves around.
I have wanted to go to bed for hours already, just so that I can make the morning come quicker. Once I wake up, I still have to wait until around 11:30am to see him, so I’ll have to busy myself to make that time fly too. Elijah and I will go for a run in the morning, and then come home and get dressed to the airport to meet Justin. I feel like a child who is waiting for Christmas to arrive so that they can open up their presents.
Our countdown started on 8 days, and now we are down to only 11 hours.
Tick tock, tick tock…
