Wow… we are back in China, and we have been for just over a week now. Although I was sure I would at least do this blog post during the first couple of days back, I never did get around to it. We arrived back in Qingdao, from Paris, at around 1am on a Sunday. Justin had to go into school THAT DAY to give a speech and welcome the new teachers and students. I started my afternoon lessons the next day. The biggest adjustment of all was getting Elijah to sleep up in his bedroom, ALONE, after two months of being side-by-side all day, every day, for two months! He was not at all impressed when we closed the door and said good night to him. It was nights of struggle, hourly wake-ups, and screaming at nap-time. After five days we were back on track and he is happily in his own room with no crying. I have to admit, the experience took me back to when he was a tiny baby and we sleep trained him. It really is no joke… not a easy process at all, but the perseverance pays off eventually! We are all back on schedule and enjoying being back in China.
We have tons and tons… and tons, to show and tell, but it will take a few months.
Our trip to Europe was INCREDIBLE!
