It’s no exaggeration that I have always wanted to be a mother. When I was young, that is all I wanted for my life. When someone asked what I wanted to be when I was older, I would always think “I want to be a wife and a mother” (and then I’d say some career that sounded interesting). Looking back, I thought that it would have all happened a lot earlier than it did, but now that I look at my incredible husband and my precious little man I can’t help but rejoice in the fact that they were totally worth the wait! If I could change anything, I only would have met Justin younger so that I could have loved him longer.
You may not be able to watch this entire clip without tearing up. I posted it last year, but I really love it especially for the words! So on this Mother’s Day – my first official Mother’s Day – this video is for my sweet son Elijah. Even though, God-willing, we will have other children, Eli will always be the one that “made me a mother”.
“I made you, but you made me a mother”
