Juice Fast#2: Day 9. Can we take a moment to notice just how much sand is on those veggies! Wow… I have to admit that washing spinach and other leafy greens is a complete pain in the butt here! They are, clearly, straight from the farm to the little veggie shop located just outside our apartment complex, and normally I don’t mind the soil that is on some of the vegetables, but when you’re washing tons of leafy greens, that soil makes the whole process a lot more tedious. It takes “juicing time” from what should be 30-40 minutes, to well over an hour. Sometimes even two hours! That is A LOT of time to spend washing, prepping, and juicing fruit and vegetables for one day… I can hear many of you gasping and saying, “I don’t have time for that!” But the truth is – you spend almost that much time making, eating, and then cleaning up after your other meals, so it’s really not that bad. I do however think that doing a juice fast such as this, would be incredibly difficult if you were not able to work from home, like I do.
Day 9 – Today was a really great day. I had tons of energy, I felt happy and at peace. As I mentioned yesterday, I had a bit of an emotional breakthrough last night. That carried through to today, and left me feeling lighter and filled with joy. Something happened last night, I am not sure what exactly, but I guess I needed to get a few things out. Not much to say about today other than I felt really good.
