PARADISEOur second day in Krabi was spent on the beach, and under the shade of the villa’s trees. We had no desire to leave our beach area, do any shopping, or expend any sort of energy. All we wanted to do was relax, unwind, and take in the peaceful surroundings.
Our guesthouse restuarant was right on the beach. We ate all three of our meals right here. Luckily Thai food is one of our most favorite cuisines, so we had no problem eating it 3 times a day. In fact, we had plenty time to try almost all dishes on the menu.
We played cards when we wanted to get out of the sun. Justin’s family are quite into card games so he has a lot of experience. I only know how to play “Go Fish” (haha), so most of the time he is teaching me new games.
Red Chicken Thai Curry
During the day the generator was off so we could not order food until about 1pm.
The owner, Ae, was really sweet though, and she would often make exceptions for us.
Can we stay here forever??
Justin and I were out in the water every hour or so to cool off. As you can see in the above picture, the beach was not full at all. Only the guests that there staying here were using this beach.
It was wonderful.
It was wonderful.
There were hammocks in the trees, and Justin enjoyed reading here.
Is that not adorable? This dog’s name was “Bo”
haha! Catching some shade from the kindle.
I took both dogs swimming with me.
They loved it!!!
The tide started to move out as the late afternoon approached.
Even when the sun started to disappear, we didn’t get up.
We enjoyed the cooler afternoon temperatures.
Tiny crabs danced along the surface of the sand. I liked to watch them get chased by Bo.
We took a late afternoon stroll along the beach as the sun was setting…
There was no one for miles, and we felt like we were on a deserted island.
The tide was low and we found many cool creatures in the sand.
Justin reminds me that we miss “MJ”s dancing in the Taman Negara.
When the tide was fully out, we could walk for almost a kilometer. The island to the right, above, was deep in the ocean during the day. We were able to walk right up to it at 6pm.
This area was the bottom of the ocean a few hours ago, therefore it was sludgy and hard to walk on.
But who’s complaining… Look at that BEAUTY!!
Look at the beautiful view from our dinner table.
I can’t describe how at home we felt here ~ It was amazing!
For dinner we had Chicken Pad Thai. We were so in love with these dogs!!!!
Justin lost quiet a few card games. He blamed the sun and the beers!
Dessert – too many beers 😉
We played cards until late in the night, drinking beer and taking it easy. Most of other guests did the same. Ae played music for us, and lit a few mosquito coils to keep the bugs from biting us. The atmosphere was perfect, and we wished that we could stay here…
