La Tour De Giry│In a recent post we told you abut how we ended up sleeping in an old French Farmhouse in the Burgundy countryside. This was our first night “on the road”, and an unforgettable start to our much anticipated European Road trip. We found this amazing location on AirBnb, and if you want to read about how that happened, check out THIS POST! If you haven’t used AirBnb before, and you want to do that. Sign up to the website through this link – AirBnb – and only do you get a nice travel discount for joining, but we also get a reward for adding a friend! It’s a win win! Today we want to show you our room in the roof of the farmhouse, some more pictures of the grounds, and of course, of Eli enjoying himself.
All of the rooms at this B&B are situated in a seventeenth-century farm building, in the heart of Côte d’Or. They are all different: one is sunnier, another offers an unobstructed view on the neighboring hills. Pictured below, The room that we had was the one with the amazing views in all directions! The range of rooms available guarantees that all guests are satisfied. We didn’t a choice when picking our room, but they sure did give us one that was PERFECT for our needs. When we arrived, there was a crib set up for Eli and a high chairs at the kitchen table. In the morning we enjoyed a breakfast prepared especially for us, in the large rustic dining room, on the ground floor of the farm.
We absolutely LOVED this place… In fact, it gave this mama a deep nostalgic feeling. I would love to one day live on a farm, or ranch, and spend my days doing simple things, like making jam and bread. The house would be filled with children, lots of noise, love, and laughter. Life would be a completely different adventure to what we currently have. Until that day comes, we will keep on living up this dream. Maybe someday we can move to an old farmhouse in the french countryside. Hmmmm, fresh bread every morning!
