During our first year in China, it was Justin that got pretty sick within a few months of us moving here. This time round it looks like it is me that is picking up every germ, bug and infection. Apparently it is not that uncommon to become sick after six months of living in China. It is at that point when your body starts adjusting to life here. So if that theory holds true, then I should recover from all of this feeling strong, healthy, and able to fight off any further infections.
With winter only a few weeks away – I can feel it in the air – all I want is to feel healthy, fit and energetic. Evidently, I feel none of those things. That is not a good start to the cold winter months because without my running, fitness and ability to burn off those extra “winter calories” I usually hit hibernation mode! This South African girl is simply not made for the cold northern months. If I were a bird, I would be getting ready to migrate south right now. I really don’t like these cool winds that are starting to blow… They remind me that the yucky cold months are coming. Brrr…
With this week of no school and plenty time to relax, unwind, and recover, I hope to be healed and ready to hit the road pretty soon. Yes, even though I’m sick in bed, all I can think of is getting outside for a run. I really do miss being fit and healthy. Thankfully I have a healthy husband who is keeping the house together, so now I just have to concentrate on getting better. Go away infections!
At least I have plenty pictures to look through. We have been busy this past month!
It’s time to catch up on some editing and blogging.
