Another activity on our Fall Bucket List:
~ Playing in a pile of leaves ~
Just before leaving for school, Justin told me that he had a surprise for me, but I had to wait until he got home to see it. All day long I wondered what he had planned for that afternoon. I found out that Sue knew too, so I kept asking her questions. Not because I wanted to ruin the surprise, but just so that I could be prepared. For example, “Should I get ready to go out?”. By the time Justin got home, I was very eager to see what my surprise was.
He took me out of the garage, and then lead me around the house.
And on the front lawn….
Was a big pile of leaves!!
Isn’t he so sweet?! He keeps looking at the Fall Bucket List and trying to set up as many of the activities on there as possible. He drove passed one of the neighbour’s houses, and saw multiple bags of leaves, so he picked them up and made a big pile on our front lawn. Haha!
I was apprehensive at first. Sue and Justin waited on the sideline and told me to jump in. It was then that I realised that I have never jumped into a pile of leaves, and I imaged the pile just going to go flat! I was a little scared of hurting myself *or looking silly* so I convinced Justin to jump in with me. We did a run and drive… It was so fun!!
After that there was no stopping us… We were jumping, diving, throwing, and playing in the leaves like kids. It was awesome!
Except for a few acorns and twigs, the leaves were surprisingly soft!
We kept jumping in and then racking the leaves up again.
The neighbours came to see what we were up to, and they joined us for the fun. The little guy in red jumped head first into the pile. I love how kids have so much less fear… They just go for it!!
Thank you for the cute Halloween socks Sue!!
We were covered in little broken leaves and dirt by the time we were finished playing.
