Eli and his little white cup. You see that cup he is drinking from? It comes from a kitchen play set. Elijah likes anything that is really small, so this cup is just perfect for him. He also has a coffee pot in his kitchen set (pictured on the left), and every morning he carries both of them around his playroom. Sometimes we see him “pouring coffee” into the cup, and then he walks around drinking it. It is priceless! (And clearly a sign that both of this parents enjoy a cup or two of coffee every morning!) The funny part is that we barely ever use our coffee machine, so the fact that he figured that part out, or followed suit after seeing us pour coffee from ours on occasional Saturday/ Sunday mornings, is really quite remarkable! He makes a cute sipping sound and tips the cup back as he “sips” from it. We love to watch him do this, and we try to not let him see us giggling because we know that when he does, he will stop and go do something else. Oh sweet Eli – We love watching his cute little mannerisms!
Lately Eli has been bringing his cup to the table when we eat. We decided to start pouring juice into his cup so that he could drink from it. Usually Eli drinks with a straw because that is just easier, and a lot less messy, especially when we are out and about. Drinking from a strawless-cup almost never happens around here (even for mom and dad), which is another reason why we found it amusing that he walked around “sipping his coffee”.
Have a look at these photos which show Eli drinking from his favorite little white toy cup…
As you can see, he is absolutely thrilled with himself!
… so thrilled that he ends every sip with a round of applause.
Gosh, we love this little guy to bits. He’s a laugh a minute!
