With the summer being as hot and muggy as it is in Qingdao, we have had to find other ways to spend our weekend afternoons. There are a few air-conditioned shopping areas in this city, and the closest is Marina City which is located right on the seaside (hence the name). On this Saturday afternoon, we spent a few hours wandering around the stores here. For lunch we went back to he restaurant that we first went to for our wedding anniversary in February, The Diner.
The hot weather warranted Justin having an ice cold beer. I was not able to join him for this drink, as I was nursing Elijah, but I had a couple sips of his beer and it was oooohhh soooo refreshing!

The first time that Justin tried Fish and chips was when we were in South Africa last year. This was never a meal he would have thought of ordering before because he wasn’t a fan of fish, but since trying it in Cape Town he really enjoys it now. As usual, I went for a burger. I can’t even count how many burgers I have eaten between now and back in October when I fell pregnant. I will say that the burgers at The Diner are really amazing, and considering that I have become a burger pro, you can take my word for it. We were both really happy with our lunch choices!
