|My First Mother’s Day|
We had a wonderfully relaxing Sunday. We slept in, had brunch while Elijah took a long nap, and then went out for a late lunch. Thinking ahead, we aimed for just after lunch-time in order to miss the massive crowds that would be out around midday. China is pretty predictable when it comes to mealtimes. Restaurants are insanely busy around 11:30-1:00, but reasonably quiet after that. We decided to have lunch at The Canvas (since we still had some birthday vouchers to use) and we had my mom meet us there. The four of us stayed at The Canvas for a long time, enjoying the food and chatting away. My Mother’s Day meal was a delicious Blue Cheese and Rocket Burger with Cajan Fries on the side. Hmmm… tasty! After lunch we took a stroll towards the harbor. The weather was great – blue skies and barely any pollution at all. It was a little breezy, but definitely way too nice to stay indoors. We walked around Marina City shopping mall for a bit, and then along the pier.
A big thank you to these two handsome men… They both make me so happy!
