Doing what we do (aka… Acting Crazy!)
So I know it’s not really that interesting to some of you to read about how sweet my husband is. In fact, I’m sure that is pretty boring, and the super long “2000 Days of Us” post that I did was more than enough. So, if you’re not into all the mushy stuff, you better just skip to the next post. I (we) don’t really write posts to gain followers – this is us a place for us to speak from the heart, share our experiences, and sometimes even rant a little. Anyway… moving on. I am going to talk about my amazing husband. You’ve been warned!
Last week Justin posted something on Facebook about us being together for 2000 days. I was quite surprised because, despite the fact that I remember putting it into my calendar months ago, it seems that it is no longer there (I think Justin removed it so he could surprise me — he swears he didn’t). I therefore forgot all about it. It’s not an easy anniversary to remember. Dates, sure… but counting days is quite a bit more difficult. It takes checking online using a handy calculator, then making note of it for later. Justin was really on top of his game for this one. As I mentioned, he posted something to Facebook in the morning, and that night he came home with a few surprises.
He gave me bottle of wine and a box of gifts. Inside the box was some make-up which he had heard me saying I wanted (BB cream), hand cream, lip glass, and eye shadow. Seriously, he is so freaking cute. I looked at the eye shadow, and I though, “Oh blue… interesting, I don’t usually wear blue but I’ll give it aa try”. And then – like he could read my thoughts – he said, “I go the blue because when we met you always worn a denim color Mac eyeshadow that they discontinued, and I know you loved it” WOW!!! This guy has an incredible memory – I had completely forgotten that. He also printed out a poem, attached 2000 Won (the currency representing the country where we met), and then framed it. Ahhh, again, he’s so darn cute!
This guy honestly melts my heart!
We live in China, so this might not sounds super amazing to other people – but when we find something new here, it’s a pretty big deal. He had found me two of my favorite sodas, ginger ale and tonic water, and he handed me a couple of those as part of my anniversary surprise. He never ceases to amaze me.
On a daily basis, he shows me how much he adores me. I love how Justin cares for Elijah and I – he is so sweet, patient and gentle. It’s a rare thing to really understand and fit so perfectly with someone. Of course, we are just two imperfect people, but I love that we encourage and support each other with so much joy and happiness in our hearts.
Thank you My Sweet Husband.
You are greatly appreciated, respected and loved!
