Even though our little man is way too young to understand what is going on around him at the moment, it really warmed my heart to see him sitting on his dad’s lap watching one of the World Cup soccer games. As you can see above – he’s not quite into it as much as Justin is, but give him time, he’ll get into soon enough. Justin loves all kinds of sport, so I’m sure that our son will like a few of them too. This is probably something that they will enjoy together in the coming years.
With the time difference working against us for almost all of the World Cup matches, we were not able to watch many of the games here in China. Justin tried to get up to watch some of them at 4am, but the live streaming games were low quality and there were many lags in the connection. For the final game, we decided to invite a friend over and have a BBQ on our balcony. Although this is something we both grew up doing almost all of our lives, it is something that is wholly lacking from our life in Asia!
One day he’ll be sitting next to Justin and cheering along with him. We look forward to those days, but for now we want that cute little sleepy face to stick around for as long as possible.
