On the same day that we dedicated our son, Elijah, to the Lord, we had a little ceremony for our marriage too. We wanted to sign a U.S marriage certificate, so we asked our friend, Zachary, to say a few words and a blessing for our marriage. Since Justin and I are both hopeless romantics, I image that we will always aim to do cute things like this. Thankfully we won’t always need to sign papers, but blessings and vow renewals sound like something we would like to do every few years. We thought that we’d wait 5-10 years before doing this, but we needed a marriage certificate, so we thought we’d make a sweet occasion out of it. [If you’re wondering why we are already married and have no marriage certificate, read this: We got married… AGAIN!] Although it wasn’t a very fancy affair (we literally put it all together in less than an hour), it sure was fun! I am thankful that Heather grabbed my camera and started snapping away… Pictures always make me smile!
A sweet afternoon, with many happy moments.
Thank you to our kind friends for the love and good memories.
