Paris Sightseeing Tour Bus│One of the very first things that we do when we get to a new city, is grab a few of the tourist brochures at the airport. If we are entering via another route, then usually the hotel or bus station will have these brochures. There is only so much that you can look up online. Sometimes it is easier to just arrive, and figure it out once you are there. Often the hotel front desk staff, or a friendly Air BnB owner, will be more than willing to guide you in the right direction.
There seemed to be a couple of popular sightseeing bus tours in Paris, so we looked up reviews and decided on L’Open Tour. You can check out their website for more information. We bought two day passes, but we got a free day added on since many roads would be closed on “day 2” of our purchased days. We were in Paris for Bastille Day, so there was a lot going on. With this company you get to explore Paris onboard one of their open-top double-decker buses. Enjoy exceptional views from the top deck, hop on and off as you please on their 4 lines, and visit the city at your own pace!
We prefer not to use public transport if we can, especially with the stroller. Often subways stations are old and we have to carry Eli up and down many staircases, so bus tours like this are perfect for us! We like to listen to the commentary (through the complimentary head phones that you get when you buy your tickets, or first climb onboard) while looking around at the sights. This is great to do on the top deck of the bus!
Here are some of the sights that we took in while hopping on and off the tour bus…
We won’t give details on each picture as we have already blogged about most of the biggest stops that we did. Check the end of this posts for links to all the pictures posted below, and feel free to send us any questions!
Above, This is the street where we started and ended our Paris bus tour experience. The L’Open Tour was location on the right hand side of the picture, and if you look carefully, you can see one of the designated stops for the bus. Our hotel was not too far away, so we were able to walk from here.
Check out some of the places that we stop at on our tour of Paris on the L’Open Bus Tour:
The Louvre│Jardin des Tuileries│Ponte de la Concorde
Arc de Triomphe│Champs-Elysées│Place du Trocadero│The Eiffel Tower
