A few nights before my brother’s wedding, he hired a party bus for all of his friends in North Dakota. We waited until most of them were done with work, since almost all of them work until about 9pm. Richard organized two sweet co-workers (who didn’t feel like going out that night) to come over to the house and babysit Elijah, and that meant that I could go with on the bus. Richard appointed me the photographer for the evening, and wow, there sure were a lot of photos by the end of the night! Above is the group that we went with. In the front row is my brother on the left, and that’s me next to him. I’m not used to going out much without Justin, and my brother was really hilarious about it. He kept on smacking whoever came near me, and shouting, “SHE’S MARRIED!” Hahaha, it was really funny. I had my own personal bodyguard, thanks Bro!
We had a great bus driver, who stayed out later than agreed, and was very accommodating. Our bus drove from Medora to Dickinson, stopping at whatever bars we wanted to go to. The first stop was quiet, but the second stop was so much fun that we didn’t want to leave. We basically stayed there until we had to leave and head back to Medora. Our bus driver was like “our dad” for the night, waiting patiently outside, to take us home.
This was great evening, and I enjoyed getting to know my brother and Shauna’s friends a little more before the wedding. We laughed a lot, and I had a wonderful time. I wished that Justin was there to go on the party bus with us, but I was grateful for this extra night of fun memories with my brother and sister-in-law.
