One of the streets in our apartment complex
It is finally starting to look pretty over here in China. For the most part, the smog has cleared and the skies are more and more blue each week. Sure, we still have an occasional smoggy day, but overall the beauty is staring to outweigh the ugly and it is becoming quite pretty around our neighbourhood. The trees are all coming to life, and the blossoms are bursting open into all kinds of pinks and whites. Our favourite trees are those with the white cherry blossoms that make the tree look like it is covered in cotton puffs or snow. All of these things make our daily trips to school, the grocery store, and around town so much more pleasant. You will remember from our winter blog posts that we really struggled with the gloomy smog that chocked us for months, but this new season brings with it a breath of fresh air (quite literally), and we couldn’t be more grateful!
At seven months pregnant it is not as easy to get around anymore, so we won’t be able to go out and do our usual “runography” pictures that we like to do. We are, however, trying to keep active and go out walking whenever we can so expect to see more of the beautiful new season in China in upcoming blog posts.
