This is Tiva
As mentioned in a previous blog post, we called Tiva “piggy” because she has a spotted pink belly, she snorts, grunts, and acts like a little pig. We have never thought to take her running with us. This is mainly due to the fact that summers are so hot here, but also because she is a little too crazy. She needs to be kept on a tight leash because she likes to chase squirrels and other dogs. Last week, we decided that she might enjoy a short run with us through Duck Creek.
Duck Creek has changed so much over the last 3 months. Most of the leaves have fallen, and the path is almost completely covered with trampled dry leaves. Running through the creek is a completely different experience now…
(Same spot, 2 months ago)
… Especially considering how October Runs in Duck Creek were green, lush and quite warm.
Look at those breathtaking colours! The trees on our street have not completely changed yet. They might be confused by the 80+ December warmth. When the afternoon sun shines on these trees, I like to slow down to admire them!
Tiva did great on this 3 mile run with us!! It only took a minute or two for her to get in line, and after that she didn’t try to stop at all. Justin kept her by his side, and I ran ahead of them. Apparently she like to follow my lead.
How cute ~
Dogs are great!
