Ruth’s Baby Shower│Baby #3
If you’re all caught up on the tremendous flow of blogs lately, then you will probably recognize the face in the above picture! I blogged about Ruth yesterday in a sneak peak post about her Maternity Shoot. If you missed that one, you can check it out here: Ruth’s Beautiful Bump│Sneak Peak. Yesterday morning, a group of very sweet ladies met to shower Ruth with gifts and love, in anticipation of the birth of her third child. You will be seeing more of Ruth in the coming weeks – I will post more of her maternity pictures and then soon after that I will be doing her son’s newborn shoot. In fact, this was one of the surprise gifts at this baby shower. Some of the ladies put money together and hired me to do this shoot once the little guy arrives. I am very excited to do this for Ruth and her family!
We had a wonderful time celebrating Ruth, and the joy of motherhood. What a blessing it is to carry and give birth to a child. This is something that so many take for granted, but the truth is that EVERY SINGLE baby is a beautiful miracle!
Here are a few pictures from the Ruth’s Baby Shower yesterday…
After some food and lots of chatting, we sat around Ruth as she opened her gifts. We wrote funny sayings and encouraging words on diapers, and then Ruth got to read through them and pick her favorites. Mine was one of the winners – *cough* Just saying, no big deal!
The food was all great! Jacqueline made another incredible dish – a big quiche! You might remember the two tarts that she made for our Thanksgiving with Friends dinner on Saturday. Yummy!!
Oh, and let me not forget to mention the CHAI TEA! It was a-maaaaaazing.
The perfect baby shower party favor anywhere, but especially so in China, is hand sanitizer! hehe…
A wonderful morning with the ladies! I am sure that it is safe to say that everyone had a great time, and we are all so thrilled to have shared this special occasion with Ruth. Look out for more on Ruth and her soon to be family of five!
Well done ladies. It is wonderful to see how the expat community in Qingdao takes care of those living here.
If you are new to Qingdao and wondering how you can get connected, check out this post that I did a few weeks ago:
