Our students are completely unfazed by Elijah now, and although the still come over to say hello to him, for the most part, they don’t bother him at all. They are also very respectful of him when he is sleeping and I see them hushing each other, and pointing over at him. It is all quite adorable to watch!
We would certainly much rather have our Saturday mornings free, but at this moment in time, this is the sacrifice we have to make to ensure that we can fly home (to both our homes) so that Elijah can meet his family members and all of our friends. If we are still here when baby #2 comes, then hopefully the family can fly over to us. It’s quite a financial strain to do more than one big trip in a year while only earning one salary, but we are managing. God has blessed us with the ability to spend money wisely, and to know what is important and what is not. We are thankful for that, and for these opportunities that He provides us. There’s aren’t many jobs that would hire a mom, dad… and baby!
