This blog is dedicated to all the wonderful people from the Skillman Bible Church located in Dallas, Texas. We are very thankful for being invited on this trip with them and also for our new friendships!
These photos are a collection of some great memories from just hanging around the Conference Center.
Nick, Chris, Sebastian, Hayden and I playing HORSE with some guys in the indoor pool.
The chef at Hermit Basin.
Casey and I scarfing down our pancakes.
Deandra and Hayden were the entertainment for us.
WOW, Annabel that hamburger is HUGE!!!
Ella enjoying on some sweet watermelon.
These two get on like peas in a pod!!
This is Hayden sister, Indigo. She was soooo cute!
Rachel showing her table, at dinner, how its done!
This hill was behind the rooms. The children LOVED climbing up and sliding down it on their bums. The parents didn’t love climbing up there after their kids though. hahaha.
Are there no limits to the number of amazing sunsets viewable from here!?!?
The answer is…. NO!!!
Every meal we sat with a different group of people. It was awesome. We got an opportunity to share a meal and some great conversation with each and every person on the trip! What a great bonding experience.
On Friday evening, we were treated to a talent show. All the kids, and some adults, sang, danced, played the piano, etc… It was very entertaining to say the least. The kids all did an amazing job, and the adults provided us with some laughs!!
While the acts were being setting up we played a name game.
Lee and Lara did an amazing opening act. Lee demonstrated how to get ready for a date as a woman. The after photos have been somehow magically destroyed…. 😉 It was a definite crowd pleaser.
Our host, Matt, handled his job as Emcee with a grace that can only be described as “Angelic”.
Lydia was taking photos for everyone. I think here she got an amazing one of the table. Perhaps she was going for a macro shot!! I can’t wait to see how it turned out!
John is the pastor at Skillman Bible Church and his wife Charlene is awesome. They have 2 daughters, Abby (6 yr) and Ella (3yr). The baby Charlene is holding is another couple’s baby.
John and Eva led the worship, just as they normally do during services each Sunday. We sang songs, praised the Lord, and some shared stories. The children played happily in the background.
After worship Abby challenged John to a duel.
Get him Abby!!
You can smell John’s fear through the computer screen.
Do you see that look in Abby’s eyes… He is in big trouble.
