Day 16. We had planned to watch the Super Bowl on this morning, but we never made it!! In fact, I didn’t even hear our alarm. Justin turned it right off and went back to sleep. Oh well, maybe next year. It is really hard to keep up with things happening back at home since we can’t watch most if it online!! We spent the day eating, walking around, and trying to figure out our next move. While we were at it, we booked a boat ticket from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan. We are more into smaller islands, and now that the full moon parties are over Koh Phangan has some awesome accommodation specials. During the afternoon we had lunch at a resturant on the beach, with the sand between our toes, and then found a spot to lay for a few hours. That was our favorite part of our day, lying in the afternoon sun and chatting. I can’t lie on my belly or flat on my back anymore, so we lie on our sides, facing each other, and talk away.
Day 17. We enjoyed a good few hours on the beach on this day again, but after a huge early dinner we had to return to our guesthouse to take a nap. There have been a number of food comas on this journey through Thailand!! In the evening we took in the sights and sounds of Chaweng Walking Street night market… And of course, we ate AGAIN! I felt like I was going to explode! Each week there is less room for food since baby is growing so fast, yet I keep eating because food is just soooooo good here!! I never learn!
Day 18. We made out way from Koh Samui to Koh Phagnan via speed boat, and settled into our bungalow located right on the beach!!! It is nothing short of wonderful to be this close to the water, and to be able to witness beautiful sunsets right in front of where we will be sleeping for five days. We love it… This kind of thing really is our PARADISE!!
Day 19. The only plans we had for this day were simply – sun, sand, tanning, swimming, napping, and reading in the hammock!!! Could it get any better that that. Yes, there is a whole island to explore, and the adventurers in us want to go and see what this island is made of. But for now, we will just be. It’s so peaceful here. Tranquility!! In the evening we got some take out from the Main Street (away from the beach) and brought it to our room to eat “at home”. After that Justin taught me to play a new card game, which we continued to play for a few hours. It was a great day.
