Thaniza Beachfront Resort occupies a peaceful spot at the end of White Sand Beach. It has a wonderful private beach, and offers sea-facing rooms with private balconies. Just a 10-minute walk from Haad Rin Pier, this was a perfect spot for us since we wanted to be near the action but far away enough to enjoy the peace and quiet when needed. Most of the rooms feature sliding glass doors that open out to outdoor seating, but since this was the last leg of our month-long Thailand adventure, Justin booked us the luxury suite which was more spacious. From our suite, we could see the resort’s garden below and the incredible sunsets ahead of us. We moved from Charm Beach Resort to this one, and therefore did not have to travel very far at all. Even though we had previously considered moving on to Koh Tao, we had decided to stay on Koh Phangan for our last 4 days of vacation. We visited Koh Tao back in 2012, and although we loved it, we felt like we wanted to experience a bit more of this beautiful island before heading back to China.
When we arrived at Thaniza, we had been on the road for almost 4 weeks, and we therefore really appreciate just how friendly and accommodating the staff at this resort were! They had us laughing within minutes of arriving, and it almost felt like we had met new friends when they walked us from reception to our room on the third floor. Once they left us to settle in, we were over the moon with our choice, and the fact that we had found this place for a great deal online.

If you’re ever on Koh Phangan and you want to stay somewhere nice – close enough to Haad Rin, but not so close that the parties will keep you up – then this is the place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and it was the perfect “last stop” on the southern Thailand leg of our month-long adventure!
