That right there, pictured above, is “The Yogurt Face”. Haha, have you ever felt such joy eating a yogurt? This little man absolutely loves yogurt! Even on a typical toddler day, when he doesn’t want to eat anything that we have made, he will always eat yogurt (and of course, crackers). In China, yogurt comes as a drink with a straw, rather than a pot to be eaten with a spoon. The yogurt here is therefore much thinner, so we generally put it into one of Eli’s straw cups so that he can drink it and not make too much mess. Sometimes he will have a yogurt after (or instead of) dinner, and then we will hand him a spoon and let him feed himself. As you can imagine, because the yogurt is thinner than in the west, it makes a huge mess!
A mess is no fuss for a little boy though, so he stirs, plays with, a licks up as much as he can.
We love watching him enjoy his yogurt because he really does look like he is having the best time ever.
