Tiananmen Square is a large city square in the center of Beijing, China, named after the Tiananmen Gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace) located to is North, separating it from the Forbidden City. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history.
We almost didn’t get to visit Tiananman Square because we were so cold, wet, and tired..
We had spent the entire day in the rain. We decided that we should push through all the crowds, and rain, and make our way there.
