We shared much fun and laughter during the activity time. Tash made sure to repeat many of the songs in both Chinese and English, which really helped he students to feel more comfortable. It was so wonderful to see them laughing, clapping and singing along.

The same girl later clung to my hand as Elijah and I made our way back to the bus. When I walked away and waved goodbye to her, she stood staring at me for a while and then started running after us. It was both sweet and very sad. I wanted to sneak her onto the bus back to Qingdao with us!
A long portion of our journey to this school in Jimo was lined with these beautiful trees. I couldn’t get over how gorgeous this random countryside road was. I don’t know who decided to plant a single line of trees along either side of this road, but it looked amazing!
This was definitely my favourite Qingdao Mama lunch.
