Vatican City│European Road Trip Country #5
Onto country number 5 (even though we already blogged about #6, haha), The Vatican City! Despite the name, this is not merely a city, it is, in fact, A COUNTRY. Just like Liechtenstein and San Marino, I wasn’t convinced until I did some research.
The Vatican City State, or more briefly “The Vatican”, is the smallest generally recognized state of the world. He is an enclave in Italy within the urban area of Rome, has an area of 0.44 square kilometers. There are only about 830 inhabitants. While we were here we saw St. Peter’s Basilica, the Saint Peter’s Square, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican palaces and gardens within the walls.
