Saturday was Zachary’s birthday. Yes, Zach and Justin were born a mere day (and three years) apart, and that means this is always a busy week for Heather and I as each of us try to organise a celebration for our husbands. While the four of us lived in Dongying during 2011, the boys celebrated their birthday together at the Mosby’s apartment (2011 Birthday Blog post). To view more of that excitement, have a look at this crazy birthday video that Justin made for Zachary in 2012: Happy Birthday Zach!
This year Justin and I celebrated his birthday at an Indian Restaurant, and then the following night – on Zach’s birthday – we all went to one of the favourite foreigner spots in Qingdao: The Canvas. Fortunately for us, The Canvas was hosting a “Mexican Fiesta” with food and drinks specials, and lots of other entertainment. It’s was almost as if they knew we were coming, and they threw the party for us! Haha, we can pretend, can’t we? Nothing wrong with that.
We started off the night with some jello-shots and then, since we are pretty much regulars, the owner brought us some tequila. Woah ~ Keeping with the Mexican theme, we then enjoyed (unlimited) Margaritas for the rest of the evening. As usual, we all ordered food from the Mexican menu. Have a look at one of our date nights at The Canvas to see how delicious their Mexican food looks: Date night – The Canvas. They really do know how to make some legit Mexican food… and my man is from Texas, so he would know!!
